How We Protect Your Information
Your financial life deserves more than a locked filing cabinet. At Cloud Financial Solutions, your information is protected by six layers of modern security - and by a licensed CPA who owns that protection personally.
The Six Layers
1. Your most sensitive documents are stored apart. Documents containing Social Security numbers, bank and account numbers, and government IDs are kept in segregated, access-restricted storage, encrypted on our devices and held outside the systems our AI-assisted workflows are connected to. What this means for you: the documents that could do the most damage in the wrong hands are the ones we keep furthest from everything else.
2. Identifiers are professionally removed, not covered up. Before a document is filed into our working systems, we use Redactable, a professional redaction platform, to permanently remove sensitive identifiers. What this
means for you: the identifier is gone from the file itself - not hidden under a black box that can be lifted off.
3. AI that works for you, not on you. We use AI to deliver faster, sharper service, and we use only AI tools whose business terms prohibit training on customer data. Working data is purged from those systems under strict
retention schedules. What this means for you: our AI makes your CPA faster. It does not learn from your financial records and/or tax return.
4. Locked with more than a password. Every system that holds client information requires multi-factor authentication, on top of secured, access-controlled accounts. What this means for you: a stolen password, by
itself, is not enough to reach your information.
5. One secure channel, start to finish. Your documents move through our Drake client portal, and your signatures through Drake e-Sign, rather than email attachments. The portal connects directly to our tax software, so your
information lives in fewer places. What this means for you: fewer copies of your data, in fewer places, on a channel built to carry it.
6. Encrypted, protected, recoverable. Our computers use full-disk encryption, so client information is encrypted at rest as well as in transit. Our computers and phones run managed antivirus and endpoint protection behind an always-on VPN, and client records are backed up. What this means for you: a stolen laptop is an inconvenience for us, not an exposure for you - and a failed device does not become a lost year of your records.
The Promises Behind the Six Layers
This is owned personally. Security at this firm is not delegated to a help desk or a call center. It is owned by Adam Ausperk, CPA - the same person who completes the agreed upon financial work for you and/or signs your return - and it is reviewed at least annually.
Your records are kept only as long as they should be. We keep your records for as long as your work and applicable tax and professional standards require, and then dispose of them securely. Your information does not sit in
our systems indefinitely because nobody got around to removing it.
If something ever goes wrong, you hear it from us. No firm can honestly promise that nothing will ever happen - and you should be skeptical of any firm that does. What we can promise is this: if your information is ever
affected by a security incident, you will hear it directly and promptly from us. What happened, what it affects, and what we are doing about it.
One thing we will never do. We will never email you asking to change bank account, refund, or wire instructions. Criminals impersonate accountants at exactly the moment money is moving - a refund, an estimated payment, a closing. If you ever receive a message like that appearing to come from Cloud Financial Solutions, do not act on it and do not reply to it. Call 440-375-0690 and ask for Adam. We will never be annoyed that you checked.

Effective August 2026. Security practices are reviewed at least annually and reflect our current systems and vendors. No system is immune to every risk; ours is built in layers so that no single failure exposes your information.
