Adam has a Masters Degree in Accounting from Kent State University. He graduated from the graduate program with summa cum laude academic status, and his excellent performance in college earned him an invitation to the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society. Adam loves learning and the academic experience. It was the foundation Adam gained in the high quality Kent State accounting program that set the stage for his career.​​​

After college, Adam immediately obtained a job at Gooch & Housego, a national company that has a location in Highland Heights, Ohio. Gooch & Housego was rolling out a concept for an accounting, finance, & tax shared services department. Adam led this rollout and set up several new systems within it from scratch, while also being the main national point of contact at Gooch & Housego for all things related to taxation.

It was during Adam's time at Gooch & Housego that Adam pursued becoming a CPA. Adam passed all four sections very efficiently, and shortly after becoming a licensed CPA, Adam was hired into KeyBank's Corporate Tax Department. Within the KeyBank Corporate Tax Department, Adam had several areas of focus. One, financial accounting as it related to taxes with associated SEC reporting. Two, Adam was KeyBank's tax go-to person to complete complex and actionable tax research. Another important component of Adam's 10 years at KeyBank was Adam's work with acqusitions and leading the way with system and process improvements.

After 10 years at KeyBank, Adam wished to gain experience working in what could be the most complex form of business taxation, which is international taxation. Adam was provided an opportunity to do this at Westfield, where he charted the course for Westfield's extremely complex tax requirements that resulted from Westfield acquiring a Lloyd's of London syndicate.

Adam taught taxation and payroll at Cuyahoga Community College for 10 years. Teaching taxation helped Adam to stay "in the know" about the tax field and with tax developments. Adam has a lot of depth of tax knowledge, built with years of experience, study, and teaching.

​

Using foresight, Adam saw years before the "generative AI revolution" that data science was going to be a critical component of the way that the world works, including finance, tax, and accounting work. So Adam took the initiative to become highly skilled in data science and statistical techniques by taking and passing 2 course series in data science and applied statistics. He passed 13 courses total, with many of these courses being quite rigorous and complex. Adam therefore has lots of depth of background knowledge to draw on in data science and statistics when helping businesses to thrive by responsibly using AI.

​Adam saw value during his time at KeyBank and at Westfield: Adam can provide services of equal or higher value than people at the manager, senior manager, and director level of large accounting firms at a fraction of the cost. Because Adam has more than one skill offering, built through his years of well intentioned work and study, he can also be a "one stop shop" for small to mid-sized businesses to handle a variety of work for them, often without those businesses needed to bring in a different professional.
