Adam Ausperk has been an active CPA in Ohio since 2014. His path towards gaining high level expertise in accounting, finance, taxation, and data science started at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. At Kent State, Adam was a summa cum laude student and was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society. Adam graduated with a Master's Degree in Accounting from Kent State in June of 2011.

Upon graduation from Kent State, Adam worked for Gooch & Housego, a national business that produced advances in fiber optics, laser applications, and optical technologies. At Gooch & Housego, he rolled out a new shared services department, which was newly central to the financial operations of the Gooch & Housego subsidiaries across the United States. Adam was a payroll and benefit manager at Gooch & Housego, he organized and completed all of Gooch & Housego's tax work, and he rolled out several new financial systems for the new shared services department.

After the Gooch & Housego shared services department was set up and running well, Adam seeked a new challenge. So he embarked to become a Certified Public Accountant. After efficiently passing the CPA exam, Adam became an active CPA in Ohio. He was then hired by KeyBank.

At KeyBank, Adam worked for about 10 years in one of the best internal tax departments in the United States. His focuses were on tax compliance, advanced technology use, tax research, mergers & acquisitions, financial system implementations, and SEC reporting. Adam's role rapidly grew at KeyBank, and he was a very important and integral part of the larger KeyBank finance team.

At KeyBank, Adam was so valued that KeyBank sponsored him to take on a variety of courses in data science. He successfully passed two Harvard data science course series that were offered on edX. The courses that Adam took and the skills that Adam gained from these courses are the functional equivalent of obtaining a Master's Degree in Data Science from an accredited university.

After Adam orchestrated an ambitious, year long project at KeyBank, in which he integrated a complete general ledger system change to KeyBank's corporate tax department, he seeked a different challenge, which was to broaden his working expertise of international taxes. So he was then hired on as an International Tax Manager at Westfield Insurance. At Westfield, Adam pioneered Westfield's effective response of a very complex acquisiton of a Lloyd's of London insurance syndicate for the purposes of tax compliance and tax accounting.

After setting up Westfield's tax department for success in regards to their new acqusition, Adam began operating Cloud Financial Solutions, LLC. For many years, it was apparent that Adam's skill set was best suited to "charting the course" in a variety of complex settings. So it became more and more evident as time went on at KeyBank and at Westfield to Adam that he should run his own finance and accounting business.

Adam has been a Professor at Cuyahoga Community College since 2016. Adam has taught individual and business taxation courses since he started at Tri-C, and he has also been tasked with teaching the payroll course. He is a trusted and valued member of the Accounting Department faculty at Cuyahoga Community College.
